Our GAA Editor Fintan O’Toole is already enjoying a day out in the Páirc, where in the All-Ireland Minor quarter-final, a second Galway goal from Enda Fahy has steered them 2-17 to 0-11 clear of Clare. The young Tribesmen are headed for a semi-final with Kilkenny.

The Minor quarter-final finished Galway 2-19 Clare 1-12. Galway advance to face the Cats in the last four.
Ah, here…
A lot of empty spaces still and reports of heavy traffic, chance of a delayed throw-in?

A first rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann at the new ground is finished, and we are underway!
1 min – Tipp 0-1 Clare 0-1: Séamus Callanan hits the post with the first opportunity of the evening. Back come Clare and Tony Kelly sends one over. Noel McGrath levels for Tipp. Could be a long day for my fingers.
2 mins – Tipp 0-2 Clare 0-1: John McGrath gives Tipp the lead. Both McGraths have registered early doors.
6 mins – Tipp 0-3 Clare 0-2 Séamus Callanan gives Tipp the lead with a fine score, making amends for his early miss.
8 mins – Tipp 0-4 Clare 0-2: Noel McGrath adds his second from wide on the right.
9 mins – Tipp 0-5 Clare 0-2: Bubbles scores for Tipp. Four of their forwards are already off the mark!
11 mins – Tipp 0-6 Clare 0-2: Séamus Callanan converts a free from wide-left. Tipp looking seriously good; Clare yet to get a proper foothold.
12 mins – Tipp 0-7 Clare 0-2: Target practice for Callanan – a gimme free from close range.
13 mins – Tipp 0-8 Clare 0-2: Bonner Maher drives at Clare defence before offloading to John McGrath. McGrath controls the sliotar wide of the goal and volleys over. Might have been a goal chance, but lovely skill and decent finish from a tight angle.
16 mins – Tipp 0-8 Clare 0-3: Poor wide from Conor McGrath draws a guttural groan from the Banner faithful. Under little pressure, scooped it wide left.
17 mins – Tipp 0-9 Clare 0-3: Wonderful score from Séamus Callanan, bissecting the posts from over his left shoulder and exacerbating Conor McGrath’s miss just moments prior.
18 mins – GOAL CLARE! Tipp 0-9 Clare 1-3: Aaron Cunningham nearly rips the net with a low finish.
19 mins – GOAL CLARE AGAIN! Clare 2-3 Tipp 0-9: Wonderful catch by Shane O’Donnell, who feeds that man Cunningham again, and he slots it low past Darragh Mooney. Incredible! And within the space of a minute, the teams are level!
25 mins – Tipp 0-10 Clare 2-03: Michael Breen capitalises on uncertainty in Clare defence and takes an easy score to regain the lead for Tipp.
Clare have had 9 (NINE) wides, Tipp just the one.
26 mins – Tipp 0-11 Clare 2-3: Hawkeye, or its Corkonian equivalent, rules ‘TÁ’ in favour of Tipp. They’re two ahead.
28 mins – Tipp 0-12 Clare 2-3: Callanan with his fourth point – three from frees.
29 mins – Tipp 0-12 Clare 2-4: LIT’s Jamie Shanahan responds for Clare, closing the margin to two points.
31 mins – Tipp 0-12 Clare 2-5: Lovely score by Conor McGrath, who atones for his previous wide with a wonderful burst down the left and a finish from downtown.
33 mins – Tipp 0-13 Clare 2-5: Callanan again for Tipp after Noel McGrath anticipates a short puckout and diverts it into his path.
34 mins – Tipp 0-15 Clare 2-5: Two quickfire scores by Tipp who move four points clear through Séamus Kennedy and Bubble O’Dwyer, with two minutes added on at the end of a frantic first half.
36 mins – Tipp 0-16 Clare 2-5: Tipp score another with seconds remaining in first half as ANOTHER Clare puck-out goes astray; in the last three minutes of the first half, they’ve conceded three points directly from poor puck-outs.
SECOND HALF: 28,567 the official attendance at Páirc Uí Chaoimh as we begin the second half. Noel McGrath and Cian Dillon immediately booked for a bit of handbags.
36 mins – Still Tipp 0-16 Clare 25: Really poor wide from a placed ball by Tony Kelly – Clare’s 12th.
37 mins – Tipp 0-16 Clare 2-6: Shane O’Donnell responds for Clare with a neat finish from 40-odd yards, to the right of the sticks. O’Donnell’s second point of the game.
39 mins – Tipp 0-17 Clare 2-6: Maher with a sumptuous crossfield ball and Bubbles has his third for Tipp. Lovely score.
41 mins – Tipp 0-18 Clare 2-6: Callanan roasts one over the bar after a wonderful run by McCormack and an outrageous driven pass by Bubbles. Would have been one of the great goals – all came from a farcical spell of shinty near the Tipp goal. Incredible break and move.
43 mins – Tipp 0-18 Clare 2-7: Tony Kelly gets his third to keep Clare in touch, another from a free.
45 mins – Tipp 0-18 Clare 2-8: Cathal Malone finds Conor McGrath who’s eventually fouled by Donagh Maher on the left-hand-side of Tipp territory. Kelly does the rest.
46 mins – Tipp 0-19 Clare 2-8: John McGrath, cool as you like, over the shoulder, and Tipp lead by five again.
47 mins – Tipp 0-19 Clare 2-9: Another Kelly free as Shane O’Donnell falls victim to a high challenge from Maher at the back. Clare keeping in touch but puck-out remains an issue.
49 mins – Tipp 0-20 Clare 2-9: Michael Breen finds Noel McGrath on the right wing, who swings it nonchalantly over the bar for Tipp. Simplicity in a score.
50 mins – Tipp 0-20 Clare 2-9: Kelly drags a free wide for Clare – his second of the second half and Clare’s twelfth overall.
52 mins – Tipp 0-22 Clare 2-9: Patrick Maher grabs his fifth from wide right. Seconds later, Noel McGrath scores from a similar area. Tipp seven clear now, but Clare have a free from close-range.
53 mins – Tipp 0-22 Clare 2-10: David Reidy claws it back to six points as he takes over the free-taking duties.
56 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-10: You could accuse Clare of shooting themselves in the foot with all these wides, but if they tried to shoot themselves in the foot they’d probably miss wide left today.
57 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-11: The infamous live-blogger’s curse. Tony Kelly registers once more and Tipp’s lead is back to six.
58 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-12: Substitute Peter Duggan, who replaced John Conlon in the first half, cuts the lead to five.
59 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-13: Tipp’s lead now down to four and their management are starting to get a bit jumpy on the sidelines. Point this time by Colm Galvin.
62 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-14: Poor wide by Padraic Maher and Peter Duggan is fouled from the resulting puck-out. Free-in for Clare, eminently scorable. David Reidy slots it, and the Clare fans raise their voices.
63 mins – Tipp 0-23 Clare 2-16: Aaron Cunningham hits the side-netting after a scramble near the Tipp goalmouth. We’ve got ‘one of those’ finishes on our hands here. Peter Duggan with a monster catch, and OVER THE BAR FROM CONOR MCGRATH. One point between them – Clare have scored the last six!
67 mins – Tipp 0-24 Clare 2-16: Bubbles pulls Tipp out of their rut as he taps over a free. Extends their lead to two points.
This one is up for grabs with less than two minutes remaining!
70 mins – Tipp 0-26 Clare 2-16: Brendan Maher drops over a free from all of 350 yards, without the benefit of the replay. Huge, huge score. Seconds later, John McGrath gets his sixth! Tipp are pulling away again.
71 mins – Tipp 0-27 Clare 2-16: Tipp score again, and you can stick a fork in this one. Four minutes of added time, Tipp lead by five.
73 mins – Tipp 0-28 Clare 2-16: Jason Forde puts the cherry on top for Tipp after Clare go close to a goal at the other end.
74 mins – Tipperary 0-28 Clare 3-16: A consolation goal for Clare at the death after a goalmouth scramble for the ages.
And so Tipp are back in Croker, while Clare will be left ruing those wides and puck-out mishaps. It got tasty towards the end, but Tipp run out deserved winners at the new Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
That’s all from us for now, but there will be lots more reaction and analysis on site later this evening.

All things considered, I think Kerry football is in the healthiest position it has been in years. And with our hurlers in the senior championship next year – Roll on 2016!!
Jack o Connor must go down as one of the best managers the gaa has seen. All Ireland’s at minor, 21 and senior. Still has a big say in future of Kerry football by the sound of things
He has been involved in 21 All Ireland finals, all the above + schools.
He has 18 All Ireland wins – that is just amazing
Great manager but got it all wrong Sunday.
Ruth Dublin are just a better team than kerry 3 wins from 3
Kerry have a knack of pulling out a few new stars when it looks like change is needed. adding one or two of those minors and a retirement or two and you’ve a fresh and very talented squad
Lets be honest but for some terrible refreeing decisions last yr Kerry would not have been in the Final last yr.And again this yr in Killarney poor refreeing decisions put them on the good side of the draw avoiding Dublin and Mayo in the process which meant they would have been knocked out of this yrs championship at the quarter or semi final stage. This had nothing to do with Eamon fitzs “genius” as a manager.
correct John the first top team they faced beat them quiet easily all over the pitch.
I wouldn’t be writing off Kerry yet ! they have a history of getting it right and coming back and winning Sam ! However this Dublin team Definitely have their measure !
agreed lorcan kerry are definitely the second best team.
There’ll be plenty of retirements now I’d say.
Donaghy and The Gooch certainly don’t instill the same fear as they used too !
