John 'Bubbles' O'Dwyer shakes off injury to start for Tipperary in Limerick showdown

The Premier County begin their campaign with a trip to the Gaelic Grounds.

JOHN ‘BUBBLES’ O’DWYER has recovered from an ankle injury to start Tipperary’s Munster SHC semi-final against Limerick on Sunday.

The Allstar forward suffered an injury scare when he sustained a knock during the Premier County’s weekend training camp at Carton House and his inclusion is a welcome boost for Eamon O’Shea.

In all, O’Shea has made three changes to the side that were beaten by Waterford in the Allianz League semi-final in April.

James Barry will play his first competitive game of the year after recovering from hip surgery while Kieran Bergin has also been passed fit after suffering ankle and hand injuries earlier in the season.

Throw-in at the Gaelic Grounds is 4pm and the game will be preceded by a minute’s silence as a mark of respect for the six Irish students who lost their life in Berkeley, California earlier this week.

Tipperary:

2. Paddy Stapleton (Borrisoleigh)
3. James Barry (Upperchurch Drombane)
