Kearns: two changes. Tommy Dickson/INPHO

Tipp make two changes to face Armagh - but no Quinlivan in the starting XV

Philip Austin and Willie Connors both start in Semple Stadium.

PHILIP AUSTIN RETURNS to the Tipperary starting XV for Saturday’s Round 3B football qualifier against Armagh in Semple Stadium (5pm).

Kildangan’s Willie Connors makes his championship debut at corner-back in the only other change made by manager Liam Kearns.

It means that, barring any late changes before throw-in, there will be no starting place for Premier star Michael Quinlivan.

Quinlivan played more than 20 minutes in the second half of Tipp’s comeback against Cavan last weekend, but appeared to still be struggling with an ankle injury.

There are still question marks over his fitness, with Kearns unlikely to show his hand until the last possible moment in a bid to keep Armagh and manager Kieran McGeeney guessing.
