Tipp announce team that will aim to deny Cork a place in the Munster final

The sides will meet at Semple Stadium in Thurles on Sunday afternoon.

AN UNCHANGED TIPPERARY side will take on Cork in Sunday’s Munster senior football semi-final at Semple Stadium in Thurles [3.30pm].

Manager Liam Kearns has stuck with the same team that started their eight-point quarter-final victory over Waterford a fortnight ago.

After contributing 1-4 to their win in Dungarvan, Michael Quinlivan will again lead the Tipp attack from full-forward.

Peter Acheson will captain the team from centre-back, while Bill Maher and Josh Keane — who made their championship debuts against the Deise — have both kept their places in the starting line-up.

Cork are due to name their team at 8pm this evening. The winners will face Kerry or Clare — who also meet on Sunday — in the Munster final on 3 July.
