It remains to be seen whether the defender will be at Stamford Bridge next season.

Terry, who was moved to tears during the team’s lap of honour, was offered a new one-year deal by the club during the week, but it remains to be seen whether the defender will be at Stamford Bridge next season.

“I will be talking to the club over the coming days. I’ve always wanted to retire here. I want to stay,” he told the club’s fans after today’s match, which he missed through suspension.

Terry has made over 400 appearances for Chelsea, having joined the club in 1995.
