A rain cover tried to eat a man during a baseball game last night

Luckily, he had some friends on hand to help.

WHEN YOU THINK of a rain cover, or tarp as our US friends call it, you probably just think โ€˜oh great, this sporting even Iโ€™m watching is going to be delayed/cancelled now.โ€™

Well you may want to look at tarp in a different light after one tried to EAT A MAN ALIVE last night.

During their 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres last night, Pittsburgh Pirates fans could only watch on helplessly as a groundskeeper was devoured whole by the cold, plastic monster he was trying to unfurl.

Luckily for him, there were plenty of Pirates players and staff around to help or who knows how this one could have ended.

Who do you drop to slot Lee back in? All six Mayo backs played very well, plus S Oโ€™Se and Parsons had a great game too. Nice (tough) choice for Rochford.

@Kieran Campbell: Not really a tough choice, cant afford to leave the 2016 player of the year on the bench especially playing against Kerry.

@Kieran Campbell: Anyone but him. He kept them in the drawn game single handedly last week.

Mayoโ€™s strength in depth this year is nothing to be sniffed at. Boyle, Barrett and Durcan could play in most teams in the country and now they have Keegan to come back. Iโ€™m really looking forward to the battle between Kerryโ€™s half backs and forwards versus Mayoโ€™s.

Perhaps Mayo are coming to the boil at exactly the right time of the year. Will be battle hardened against a Kerry team who have yet to be tested. Should be a great game.
