Sixteen-year-old Feyenoord wonderkid confirms Manchester United move

Tahith Chong has seemingly chosen United ahead of Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal.

FEYENOORD STARLET TAHITH Chong has confirmed that he is set to move to Manchester United.

The 16-year-old midfielder, who was born in Curacao, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs included Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.

But the forward insists Feyenoord’s poor attempts to keep him at the club have persuaded him to move to Old Trafford.

“It was my intention to stay at Feyenoord, but no plan was made for me,” he told Elf Voetbal. “When I said I wanted to leave, they made a plan. That was too late.”

Chong, a Netherlands youth international who joined Feyenoord at the age of 10, said he decided to join United because they — as well as Arsenal — were more willing to give young players a chance than Chelsea and Manchester City.

“At Manchester United I had a better feeling. You can feel it immediately when you walk in a club.”
