REPUBLIC OF IRELAND manager Martin O’Neill and his assistant Roy Keane are both in San Francisco for Super Bowl 50 with O’Neill discussing the game in the BBC studio.
His assistant was “too shy” to join him he said, but the manager spent about 10 minutes analysing the game and comparing Keane with Panthers’ quarterback Cam Newton.
However, O’Neill revealed himself to be a Broncos fan and hoped that Peyton Manning would end his career with the victory in American football’s showpiece event.

@Tim Brennan: Jane is excellent but it still doesn’t merit trying to fix something that isn’t broken. Age shouldn’t be a factor when there is no question of competence. RTE are under pressure to save money.
