This is a great episode of the Sunday game, great analysis and the lads’ views are interesting. Can’t believe it’s over for another year..
Tomas O Se has some puss on him
Diarmuid O’ Connor should be on that team had an outstanding year
It’s gas all the lads winding poor Joe up ha
McCaffrey is not a good defender. He’s going to get player of the year for counter attacking alone. Can anyone give an example of a fantastic piece of defending displayed by him all year?
was not a great championship
Kept Dublin in the Championship with this piece of defending anyway:

A routine block. Hardly kept them in the championship! It would have put them a point down with 4 minutes to play.
Attck is the best form defence. Apart from a couple of goalkeeper mistakes, can’t think of many incidents where the dublin defence were seriously exposed. McCaffrey was excellent but Bernard Brogan is footballer of the year. 6-21 from play.
Attack is not the best form of defence. As shown by Dublin today blanket defending with counter attacking is.
peter harte is hard done by I’d think. would have seamie o Shea before Maher in midfield.
No maher has been best midfielder all year
O shea had 1 one of worst season in a few years and felt he was overshadowed by Tom Parsons.
No Paddy Andrews and no Diarmuid O Connor, joke!
No paddy andrews
Where’s Connelly
In the barracks
no Joe he’s at the champions dinner for the third time bitter hoor that you are.
How does Aidan O’Shea get into their team of the year? He is a shocking poor footballer. His basic skills of the game are dreadful. He had one big game v poor opposition and when the real opposition came he was anonymous. A very surprising and poor choice.
What are you smoking man?!!
I totally agree, O’Shea is only a “mull ocher”, very little skill just brute force.
David Moran was odds on for FOTY before the final. He might not have been at his best but not even a place on the team for him? ?
Would mostly agree but I would put Peter Harte in at number 7 for sure
Cluxton is been harshly judged on own imperious standards. Was he the most effective goalkeeper in the country this year? Yes I think he was.
He had a lot of dodgy moments this year. He was all at sea today too. Can you think of any great saves he made during the year? Kealy is fully deserved of his spot.
he kicked 4 balls over the sideline today, looked void of all confidence in the quarter, semi, and final, missed almost every free he came up for, and gave away brutal possession in key situations, to donaghy today and Moran in semi, blessed not to be punished more than he was. Dublin’s biggest liability this year.
Surely he will retire now. He looks a spent force.
surly frank mcglynn deserves a place
Although Cluxton had a poor year by his standards I think he managed ok in his other 71 matches before 2015. Just because he was shaky in 2015 does not negate the previous 13 years. He has consistently been in the top two goalkeepers since his debut year.
“2015″ Team of the year
Murphy but surely Durcan. You can’t deny Cluxton is his only rival and Cluxton hadn’t his best year. Durcan saved a hatful of goals.
I think the more goals you concede the better chance you have of getting selected. Kealy conceded lots of goals on this championship as did cluxton. Beggan from Monaghan conceded nothing this year and not a mention. In fact he has only conceded one goal in ten ulster championship matches. Morgan from Tyrone none this year either.
Team of the year or team of the last month?
