REPUBLIC OF IRELAND women’s head coach Sue Ronan has announced the squad for her final game in charge, which takes place at the end of this month against the Basque Country.

The international friendly is on Saturday 26 November before Ronan then concentrates on her role as the Head of Women’s Football within the FAI.
Leanne Kiernan, who starred as she scored a hat-trick in that game, gets a second call-up to the squad as do Alex Kavanagh and Niamh Prior.

Peamount United midifelder Roma McLaughlin is also called up after making her senior debut in the 1-0 defeat to Portugal in September.
“I’m really looking forward to this game which is my final one as Women’s National Team Head coach,” says Ronan.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the role over the last six years and it’s been an absolute honour to manage my country.
“I believe the mix of experienced players and amount of young talent we now have in this country, the future looks very bright for the next person coming in.”

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND women’s head coach Sue Ronan has announced the squad for her final game in charge, which takes place at the end of this month against the Basque Country.

Ronan’s departure was revealed in late September after she had been in charge for six years.
Her final squad inclues five players from Shelbourne Ladies, who ran out 5-0 victors in the recent Women’s FAI Cup final.
