Teenage Cork defender facing 6 months sidelined with fractured leg

Stephen Cronin suffered the injury in action for his club this weekend.

CORK SENIOR FOOTBALLER Stephen Cronin is set to face six months on the sidelines after suffering a serious leg injury in a club game this weekend.

Cronin fractured his tibia and fibula yesterday while in action for Nemo Rangers in a senior league match against Clonakilty.

He will now miss  Nemo’s Cork senior football championship tie against Douglas next weekend along with their upcoming county U21 football final.

19 year-old Cronin burst onto the Cork senior football side this summer, nailing down a defensive spot when he made his senior championship debut against Clare in June.
