CLOUGH-BALLACOLLA ARE ONE win away from regaining the Laois senior hurling title, but a brilliant bit of improvisation from corner-forward Stephen Bergin was what had the spectators talking after last night’s semi-final win at O’Moore Park.
Late in his side’s 0-18 to 0-10 victory over Abbeyleix in Portlaoise, Bergin managed to register his second point of the game despite losing his hurley.

He gathered possession for the 2015 champions with a football-style pick-up, created space for himself with a jink and solo, before kicking the ball over the bar just outside the 21.
Superb.
