ST JUDES ARE into the final of the Dublin senior hurling final for the second consecutive year thanks to a win over Lucan Sarsfields tonight.

Templeogue side Judes, who lost out to Kilmacud Croke in last year’s final, raced into a 0-5 to 0-1 lead at Parnell Park, but Sarsfields hit back on 14 minutes when full-forward Kevin O’Reilly found the back of the net from a free.

The sides continued to exchange scores and it was Sarsfields who held a 1-9 to 0-8 advantage heading into half-time.

Judes levelled up through Tom Devlin’s goal on 33 minutes and they edged ahead after Neal Mangan’s point but that man O’Reilly responded with another free.

While Lucan would only score one more point on the night, Judes began to take control and finished the game with a four-point cushion.

They will now meet Cuala, who got the better of Ballyboden St Enda’s earlier this month, at Parnell Park on Saturday, 31 October.

Throw-in is 4pm.
