HOLDERS ST BRENDAN’S Killarney continued their quest for back-to-back Corn Uí Mhuirí titles as they booked their place in this year’s decider.

Goals from Dara Moynihan and substitute Barry Keane saw them ease to a nine-point win over St Flannan’s in Rathkeale.

With the wind at their backs in the first half, Brendan’s opened up a five-point lead, Flannan’s full-forward Darragh Duggan cancelling out Moynihan’s early goal to leave it 1-9 to 1-5 at the break.

Kerry minor David Shaw, who missed Brendan’s last game while at AFL academy trials in Florida, was in majestic form and kicked six points from midfield.

Four unanswered points in that third quarter effectively settled the game as a contest, and although Flannan’s did cut the gap to six again late on, Keane’s goal put the result beyond any doubt.
