Goalkeeper
Shane Supple (Bohemians)
Ryan Byrne / INPHO
Ryan Byrne / INPHO / INPHO
The former Ipswich stopper was in excellent form as Bohs kept two clean sheets in their three outings in June, extending their undefeated run to four games.
Defenders
Sean Gannon (Dundalk)
Four consecutive clean sheets for the champions and their reliable right-back has played a significant role, fulfilling his defensive duties as well as providing an extra outlet in attack.
Kyle Callan-McFadden (Sligo Rovers)
The Donegal native is finding his feet at the Showgrounds, showing signs that he’s ready to deliver on the potential that helped him to win an FA Youth Cup with Norwich City.

Kevin O’Connor (Cork City)
He’ll be a Preston North End player in less than three weeks but the attack-minded left-back isn’t shirking his responsibilities to his current employers in the meantime.
Midfielders
Keith Ward (Bohemians)
The attacking midfielder, who opened the scoring in the recent win over Sligo Rovers, was one of the driving forces behind the Gypises’ unbeaten march through June, which has left them a point outside the top half of the table with a game in hand.
Gearoid Morrissey (Cork City)
Presseye / INPHO
Presseye / INPHO / INPHO
One of the Premier Division leaders’ unsung heroes, Morrissey continues to deliver consistently excellent performances and he chipped in with another stunning goal in the 2-1 win over Derry City.
Conor McCormack (Cork City)
An almost impenetrable shield in front of City’s back four against Dundalk and Limerick, McCormack once again showed his versatility by transitioning to the heart of the defence in the victory against Derry.
Patrick McEleney (Dundalk)
The former Derry City playmaker appeared to be back to his best in June, scoring four goals — including two goal of the season contenders — as Dundalk bounced back after starting the month with a disappointing defeat to Cork City.
Forwards
Sean Maguire (Cork City)
Three goals against Dundalk, two more against Limerick, an assist against Derry and a three-year contract with Preston made June another good month for the SSE Airtricity League’s leading goalscorer.
David McMillan (Dundalk)
Bryan Keane / INPHO
Bryan Keane / INPHO / INPHO
Three more goals in June saw the 28-year-old striker take his tally for the season to 12, as Dundalk won four games in a row to put some daylight between themselves and their rivals in the race for second place.
Chiedozie Ogbene (Limerick)
Ogbene’s ability to blend pace with trickery has seen him cause problems for every defence he’s encountered, and the former Cork City attacker was rewarded with three goals in June.
Substitutes
Gary Rogers (Dundalk)
Conor McDermott (Derry City)
Robbie Benson (Dundalk)
Ryan Brennan (Bray Wanderers)
Trevor Clarke (Shamrock Rovers)
Conan Byrne (St Patrick’s Athletic)
Karl Sheppard (Cork City)
