• Manchester City will face Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Atletico Madrid will take on Bayern Munich in the other semi-final.
• Liverpool have drawn Villareal in the last four of the Europa League while Shakhtar Donetsk and Sevilla will do battle in the other tie.
• There will be sponsors on game-worn jerseys in the NBA for the first time from the 2017-18 season.
• The NFL season will open with a Super Bowl rematch for the first time after it was confirmed that the reigning champion Denver Broncos will host the Carolina Panthers in their opening game of the campaign.
• Madison Square Garden will host New York’s first UFC event on 12 November after the move to legalise the sport in the state was passed last month.

• In the Guinness Pro12, Connacht v Munster at the Sportsground is the big one tomorrow night, kick-off 7.15pm. Also on the agenda, earlier in the day, are Scarlets v Glasgow (3.15pm) and Zebre v Ulster (5pm).
• There are six games in the English Premier League tomorrow; Norwich v Sunderland (12.45pm), Everton v Southampton (3pm), Manchester United v Aston Villa (3pm), Newcastle United v Swansea City (3pm), West Bromwich Albion v Watford (3pm) and Chelsea v Manchester City (5pm). In the SSE Airtricity League, it’s Longford Town v Derry City from 7.30pm.
• The finals of the Olympic boxing qualifiers also take place in Turkey tomorrow.
• In GAA, there is an U21 football double-header in Tullamore. Dublin v Mayo is the first game of the day (2.45pm) which will be followed by Cork v Monaghan (4.30pm).
• The World Snooker Championships get under way in The Crucible, Sheffield.
• The NBA playoffs also kick off in the US.
