IRELAND’S ROBBIE KEANE is the best MLS import ever according to some of the US’ top sports journalists.
In a panel discussion among Sports Illustrated writers Grant Wahl, Brian Straus, Jeff Bradley and Alexander Abnos, Keane gets plenty of praise.
Abnos names the Irish footballing legend as the best foreign signing in league history, while Wahl says he’s the best foreign Designated Player signing.
Meanwhile, Straus, while acknowledging that David Beckham made more of an impact on the league, suggests Keane is the better player.
The Tallaght native also earns a spot in Wahl’s all-time best MLS XI.
Keane is set to feature, as LA Galaxy take on Chicago Fire at 3am Irish time tomorrow.
49ers to beat the Rams?….San Fran looked good against Green Bay last week but probably more to do with the Packers deficiencies than anything else.
@Derek Durkin: i think he forgot to add the spreads this week is that the issue steve? 49ers are +9.5 vs the rams
@Gerald Broflovski: yeah, forgot it was against the spread….my bad….anyways great read Steve.
I always enjoy reading your pieces on the NFL Steve, Informative and it brings me a sense of enthusiasm when reading, Great work!
Love that intro Steve. Felt a bit like one of those flea flicker plays where you weren’t quite sure where it was heading but little wonder in the end it concluded with the Ti Toons. Great season so far. Great job as always.
Jesus you’d want to look away if your a defence coach during the GIants/Falcons game!
Mind you we might get some spectacular scores.
