JOHN EGAN, THE son of the late Kerry GAA legend of the same name, has been named as Gillingham’s Player of the Season.
The 22-year-old moved to the League One side after being released by Sunderland in 2014, and has taken little time to establish himself as an important member of the team that finished 12th in League One this year.
Egan, who made 52 appearances for the club this season, also secured the away fans’ Player of the Year accolade.

“I go to bed at night looking forward to coming into training every day. The boys here put a smile on my face.”
