Henry Shefflin is the finest hurler of his generation, but can he kick it? Not quite...

King Henry is a flawless hurler but his footballing skills need some work.

WE MADE OUR way down to Lansdowne RFC last week to chat to Henry Shefflin, Dermot Earley, Fiona Coghlan and Alan Quinlan.

They were on hand for the launch of Topaz’s ‘Cash for Clubs’ scheme, an initiative which will give local clubs the chance to bag cash prizes of up to €200,000.

As part of the launch, the quartet engaged in a challenge that tested their trivia and cross-code shooting abilities to see who knew their club the best and — most importantly — who was the superior all-rounder.

If your team had a last-minute free to win the All-Ireland hurling final, Henry Shefflin is the man you’d want standing over it. But in football? Perhaps not, if this video is anything to go by.
