One of Ireland's most popular fighters has been added to the UFC Dublin card

There are now 11 bouts on the bill for 24 October.

THE IRISH PRESENCE on next month’s UFC Dublin card continues to grow following the announcement of a flyweight bout this morning.

Dublin veteran Neil Seery (15-11) will go in search of another victory on home ground when he takes on Guam native Jon Delos Reyes (8-4).

The fight will take place at UFC Fight Night 76 – headlined by Joseph Duffy versus Dustin Poirier — at the 3Arena on Saturday, 24 October.

Seery, who’s the sixth Irish fighter to be added to the Dublin card, has a 2-2 record in the UFC and is regarded as one of the most entertaining fighters in the 125lbs division.

The 36-year-old, who was the first ever Cage Warriors flyweight champion before signing for the UFC, will be keen to bounce back from his unanimous-decision loss to Louis Smolka at UFC 189 in Las Vegas in July.

Prior to that, Seery had secured back-to-back wins in the octagon over Phil Harris and Chris Beal, having lost via decision against Brad Pickett in his short-notice promotional debut in March 2014.

Reyes stared his time with the UFC with two straight first-round defeats last year against Dustin Kimura [at bantamweight] and recent title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi.

However, the 28-year-old saved his UFC career back in May when he submitted Roldan Sangchaan in the second round of their bout at UFC Fight Night 66 in Manila — a contest which was awarded ‘Fight of the Night’ honours.

Tickets for UFC Dublin will go on general sale from Ticketmaster at 12pm this Friday, 4 September. Here’s how the card looks so far:
