Derry had Chrissy McKaigue sent off for two bookable offences and the Oak Leafers also lost McKaigue’s brother Karl to a black card.
Tyrone had built up a 0-10 to 0-6 lead by half-time before Sean Cavanagh put the result beyond doubt with a goal 20 minutes from time.
Aidan McCrory roared forward for Tyrone’s second goal deep in stoppage time to cap another satisfactory evening for boss Mickey Harte.
