CONOR McGREGOR AND Nate Diaz exchanged plenty of verbal blows during tonight’s UFC 196 press conference in Las Vegas, but things almost got physical when UFC president Dana White brought the fighters together afterwards to square off.
With his hands stretched out in front of his opponent’s face in typical fashion, Diaz sought to provoke McGregor, who slapped the hand away.
Diaz then had to be held back by Dana White, while security and police officers were required to restore order as members of Diaz’s entourage — including his older brother Nick — quickly arrived on stage to stand by their team-mate.
The pair will square off once more tomorrow evening at the weigh-ins, before they clash in the octagon on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
