BRENTFORD’S SCOTT HOGAN has been named the Championship’s Player of the Month for September, after another goal-filled few weeks for the Manchester-born striker.
The 24-year-old netted six goals in five league games for the Bees last month, including a hat-trick against Preston North End.

It is now 14 goals in his last 16 appearances for the forward, who qualifies to play for the Boys in Green through his grandparents.
But Hogan stated last month, he wanted to use this international break to concentrate on his club form after suffering two cruciate ligament injuries, before deciding on his Ireland future.
Conor Hourihane claimed last month’s award but wasn’t included in the final Ireland squad for this round of World Cup qualifiers, despite Martin O’Neill naming the Barnsley midfielder in his expanded panel.
