Ross County goalkeeper Scott Fox attempted the Cruyff turn and it all ended horribly

Everything seemed to be going so well too…

JUST ONE MISTAKE from a goalkeeper and they’re the villain. It doesn’t matter how many top-drawer saves they’ve made: it’s the errors that are recalled more easily.

Unfair? Certainly.

But, sometimes, they don’t do themselves many favours.

Like Ross County’s Scott Fox.

His side were taking on Rangers in a top-flight clash in Scotland today and were already a goal down when he decided to push his luck just a bit.

A slightly overhit back-pass was played from right to left across his area and Fox had Rangers’ striker Alfredo Morelos pressing hard to close him down. But, incredibly, Fox showed immense composure by conjuring a Cruyff turn, pushing the ball back onto his right side and leaving Morelos looking decidedly embarrassed.

However, with the hard work done, Fox was a little too casual and there was an inevitable conclusion.

Rangers went on to win 3-1.
