INJURIES HAVE INSURED Jonny Gray and David Denton will play no part in Scotland’s Six Nations meeting with Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.
Gray underwent a scan on Monday and the results have shown the lock sustained a partial pectoral tear in the 29-18 win over France on Sunday, ruling him out of contention for this weekend’s match.
Denton, meanwhile, has been sent back to Bath in order to continue his recovery from a groin injury sustained ahead of the 36-20 victory over Italy on 27 February.
Finn Russell remains with the Scotland squad as he undergoes the graduated return-to-play protocol after suffering a concussion against Les Bleus at Murrayfield.

Ireland will be without Rob Kearney, with the full-back still troubled by the hamstring issue that kept him out of the 58-15 drubbing of Italy.
