THE SCOTTISH FA has issued an apology to disabled fans who had their view of the pitch obscured during last night’s Euro 2016 qualifier at Hampden Park.

World champions Germany defeated Scotland 3-2 in Ireland’s Group D thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Thomas Mueller.

However, a number of supporters in wheelchairs were blocked from seeing the game by advertising boards and a television crew.

Some were later moved to a different area but the Scottish FA has released a statement to confirm that all involved will be fully-refunded.

“The Scottish FA apologises unreservedly to those supporters accommodated in the South Stand accessible areas whose view was seriously restricted by the double television production,” the statement reads.

“We will offer a full refund to those supporters affected and will review matters ahead of the European Qualifier against Poland next month.”
