There were three All-Ireland Qualifiers down for decision this afternoon.

Good afternoon and welcome along to our live coverage of today’s All-Ireland SFC Round 3A and 3B Qualifiers.

Here’s the fixture list:

  • Round 3A: Sligo v Clare, 2pm.
  • Round 3A: Cavan v Derry, 3.30pm
  • Round 3B: Longford v Cork, 3pm
  • Round 3B: Mayo v Kildare, 7pm

Good start for the hosts as Sligo captain Adrian Marren converts a free to restore his side’s three-point advantage. Still early days out west.

Our final game this afternoon is the meeting of Cavan and Derry from Kingspan Breffni Park. That one gets underway at 3.30pm.

Not a bad afternoon for a game of ball.

Cork boss Peadar Healy has named an unchanged team for this afternoon’s game, with no place for the returning Alan Cadogan and Aidan Walsh.

The Rebels comfortably beat Limerick last weekend and the manager places his faith in the same XV for the visit to Pearse Park.

Keelan Sexton and Cathal O’Connor point for Clare and the sides are level. We’re 10 minutes into the second half.

Cork yet to score. They had a great early goal chance but Peter Kelleher’s close range shot was blocked by Paddy Collum, then Daniel Goulding’s effort from a ’45 went wide.

Clare have turned things around and now lead by two. Tubridy and Cathal O’Connor give the visitors the advantage for the first time this afternoon.

This has been some turnaround from Clare and they’ve suddenly hit their straps in this second half. They’ve got a four-point cushion now.

The visitors have started brightly and get their just rewards with the opening score of the day through James Kielt.

Brilliant start to the game at Kingspan Breffni Park. Kielt’s opening score was cancelled out but Cian Mackey before Gearóid McKiernan’s free saw Cavan take the lead.

But a high ball from Chrissy Bradley caused problems for the Cavan defence and Emmett McGuckin was there to punch it into the net.

Michael Argue then responded for Cavan, and after all that we’re level.

The pendulum swings back towards Derry! McGuckin holds his nerve and the visitors lead as we head into added time.

Derry stretch their lead through Enda Lynn and Toner. Five minutes of additional time so there’s still time for Cavan.

Oh, so close! Cavan pushing for a goal to force us into extra-time but they can’t bundle the ball in and have to settle for a point. Drama at the death here.

So Derry rallied after the interval and pulled off a fine comeback to advance at the expense of Cavan. The dismissal of Feargal Flanagan just before half-time proved crucial.
