Sampdoria striker embarrasses defender with Bergkamp-esque goal

The Czech forward pulled off a brilliant flick to set himself up to score in Serie A yesterday.

DENNIS BERGKAMP’S GOAL against Newcastle in 2002 remains one of our favourites 15 years on.

And while it’s not quite in the same bracket, there were shades of the Dutchman’s class during the Serie A meeting between Sampdoria and Crotone yesterday.

Samp’s Czech striker Patrik Schick, believed to be a target for Arsenal and Tottenham, flicked the ball around opposing defender Gianmarco Ferrari before exquisitely slotting past goalkeeper Alex Cordaz in the 2-1 defeat.
