A date for the diary: RTÉ to screen special programme on life of Bill O'Herlihy

The Cloch Le Carn episode will air on Monday at 7.30pm.

IT’S HARD TO believe that Bill O’Herlihy’s tragic passing was almost a year ago.

On 25 May, 2015 the hugely popular broadcaster passed away at the age of 76. The nation mourned the passing of the Cork man who had guided us through so many memorable sporting times.

RTÉ will screen a special programme on O’Herlihy on Monday night (RTÉ One, 7.30pm).

It is the latest episode of its occasional series ‘Cloch Le Carn’ which explores the careers of influential public figures in Ireland.
