Roy Keane says Liverpool have 'beaten nobody yet'

Damien Duff, meanwhile, believes Jurgen Klopp’s side can win the Champions League.

ROY KEANE HAS warned Liverpool fans not to get too carried away with their side’s encouraging recent form.

The Reds secured an emphatic 7-0 victory over Spartak Moscow last night, but the Ireland and Man United legend pointed out that there would be tougher challenges to come.

Speaking to ITV (via The Daily Mail), Keane said: “Their attacking players enjoyed it but the big tests are yet to come for Liverpool, clearly they’ve beaten these so-called lesser teams, but they’ve beaten nobody yet.

“It’s lovely to watch but they wouldn’t get that time and space against a decent team, it’s as simple as that.

“Give quality players time on the ball like that and they are going to punish you. The reality is if they are playing a top team in Europe they won’t get the time and space, they won’t get those opportunities.

“If you know this game then you understand they have so much bigger and tougher tests coming up.”

On RTÉ, meanwhile, another ex-Ireland international Damien Duff took a more optimistic view, suggesting Liverpool are contenders to win the Champions League (see below).
