The Ireland assistant manager has long proclaimed his admiration for former Man Utd team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
And as he and Lee Dixon reflected on the week’s Champions League action, he wasn’t shy in ranking the Portuguese amongst the sport’s very best.

“Do you know what, the guy’s a genius, there’s no getting away from it,” said Keane. “You’re talking about one of the greatest players to have played this game and he’s a joy to watch.
“You keep talking about how hard it is to score goals, you look at his stats every season, the goals he scores, the assists, the guy’s a genius, simple as that. ”
Typically though, the Cork native wasn’t as impressed with Leicester’s second-half efforts to stay in the competition. ‘That’s what you’re supposed to do’.
