ROY KEANE WAS cleared of ‘road rage’ allegations by Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

The Ireland assistant manager denied the public order offence following an incident with taxi man Fateh Kerar in Altrincham last January.

The evidence against Keane was “riddled with inconsistencies and improbabilities,” District Judge Duncan Birrell said.

He found the former Manchester United captain not guilty of causing harassment, alarm, or distress after a trial which lasted a day and a half.

Keane was alleged to have “stared aggressively” at Mr Kerar, who was described by the judge as a “thwarted fan.”
