'He's not my cup of tea' - Keane finds new Man United boss Mourinho 'irritating'

The ex-Man United captain accepts that the club’s new manager is a winner. however.

ROY KEANE HAS given his two cents’ worth on Manchester United’s new manager.

The former Red Devils skipper, who faced Jose Mourinho’s Porto and Chelsea as a player, accepts that he has a personal issue with the Portuguese but admits that the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss is a winner.

53-year-old Mourinho this week agreed to take over from Louis van Gaal on a three-year deal and has been tasked with bringing the glory days back to Old Trafford.

“He was always going to be a good option when United didn’t qualify for the Champions League,” Keane told ITV Sport.

He was available, fantastic CV and it seems like a good fit, but maybe he is not for me.

“He is not my cup of tea. I found him really irritating when I coached against him, but that is just a personal thing, but working at Man Utd is all about winning and his CV will tell you he is a winner.”
