Rory MacDonald's face is seriously messed up after his epic UFC 189 rematch

The Canadian welterweight tweeted a graphic picture of his broken nose, while opponent Robbie Lawler had his lip ripped open in the bloody battle.

ROBBIE LAWLER RETAINED the UFC welterweight title on Saturday night but only after a grueling rematch against Rory MacDonald in the co-main event at UFC 189.

Both fighters ended up needing hospital treatment after the fight of the night, which saw Lawler claim a TKO win in the fifth round. MacDonald, who had been ahead on points at the time, suffered a broken nose and a fractured foot, while both of his eyes were left severely swollen.

Lawler, meanwhile, was left with a nasty-looking hole in his upper lip. UFC president Dana White tweeted this gruesome pic:
