Ronda Rousey destroyed Floyd Mayweather after beating him to a 'Best Fighter' award

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once.”

THE ANNUAL ESPY awards took place last night in Los Angeles and Ronda Rousey walked away with a couple of gongs.

The undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion was named Best Female Athlete and Best Fighter — picking up the latter award at the expense of Floyd Mayweather.

Afterwards, Ronda couldn’t resist a dig at Mayweather, who famously said ‘I have no idea who he is’ when asked about the dominant mixed martial arts star in the past.

“I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” said Rousey last night. “I’d like to see you pretend to not know who I am now.”

It’s not the first time Rousey has subtly alluded to Mayweather’s history of domestic violence, for which he served two months in prison in 2012.

In an interview in May, Rousey said: “I don’t think that me and [Floyd Mayweather] would ever fight… unless we ended up dating.”

Rousey also won the ESPY for Best Female Athlete last year but missed out on the Best Fighter award… to Floyd Mayweather.
