BACK IN NOVEMBER 2015, it was announced that TV3 had secured the exclusive rights in Ireland to broadcast the Six Nations from 2018 and today the station announced that Ronan O’Gara will be joining their coverage as a pundit.

RTÉ’s long association with the tournament ended at the conclusion of last spring’s action with TV3, who broadcast the last Rugby World Cup in 2015, set to provide the coverage for the next four years until the close of the 2021 tournament.

And it was revealed at the launch of TV3′s autumn schedule today that O’Gara will be part of their panel.

TV3 are set to broadcast every game with new preview and highlights shows. O’Gara is a marquee name that has been added to their panel with further details about the coverage to be announced at TV3′s Six Nations launch later in the year.

Former Munster and Irish out-half O’Gara was previously involved in Six Nations punditry on RTÉ.

A coach at French club Racing 92, O’Gara was this summer part of Joe Schmidt’s Ireland setup in a coaching role for their tour to the United States.
