It was a frustrating night for the Portugal star but he was still willing to stand in for a selfie afterwards.

CRISTIANO RONALDO ENDURED a frustrating night at Euro 2016, missing a penalty late in Portugal’s 0-0 draw with Austria in Paris.

Nevertheless, the Real Madrid star still accommodated an enthusiastic fan’s request for a selfie on the pitch after the game.

The fan was tackled by a member of security at the Parc des Princes before he could get the valuable snap, but Ronaldo then intervened.

He waited while the fan frantically tried to get his camera ready, before they both did their best ‘blue steel’ poses for the photo.

The fan was then escorted away, but not until he planted a smacker on Ronaldo’s cheek.

On the back of the negative press he received after Portugal’s draw with Iceland earlier this week, we’re sure his PR advisors will be just as satisfied as the fan.
