EVERTON HAVE APPOINTED Ronald Koeman as their new manager on a three-year deal after the Dutchman resigned from Southampton.
Koeman still had a contract for another season at St Mary’s Stadium, but will now continue his career at Everton instead.
The Goodison Park club were in the market for a new manager following the dismissal of Roberto Martinez in May and had been linked with candidates such as Manuel Pellegrini, Frank de Boer and their former boss David Moyes.

But Koeman was always thought to be their top target thanks to his fine work with Southampton.
The Dutchman guided the Saints to seventh place in the Premier League in his first season, booking a ticket for the Europa League in the process, only to go one better in 2015-16 as they finished sixth, setting a new club record with 63 points.
Everton will be hoping Koeman can replicate those results at Goodison Park after two underwhelming seasons under Martinez.
The Spaniard led Everton to fifth place in his first season in 2013-14, but they had to settle for 11th place in the following two campaigns.
Koeman previously coached Vitesse, Ajax, Benfica, PSV, Valencia, AZ and Feyenoord before making his way to the Premier League in 2014.
