VIDEO: Rogue Angel wins Irish Grand National in thrilling finish

Bless The Wings (12/1) and Ballyadam Approach (33/1) finished second and third respectively.

ROGUE ANGEL HAS emerged victorious in thrilling fashion in today’s Irish Grand National.

Trained by Mouse Morris and ridden by Ger Fox, the 16-1 shot prevailed in this afternoon’s event at Fairyhouse.

Ruby Walsh’s Bless The Wings (12/1) and Ballyadam Approach (33/1) finished second and third respectively, with the former narrowly missing out on glory after leading after the final fence.

There was plenty of drama in today’s other races too.

Sutton Place, ridden by Barry Geraghty, triumphed in the Rathbarry and Glenview Studs Novice Hurdle, while Value At Risk took the honours in the Keelings Irish Strawberry Hurdle.

Meanwhile, Aidan O’Brien’s Slowmotion was the winner in the REA Grimes Property Consultants Juvenile Hurdle.
