Another game, another goalscoring record for Bayern's Robert Lewandowski

It was a quiet weekend for the Polish striker – he only scored twice.

MIDWEEK, ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI grabbed five goals in nine minutes after coming on as a substitute for Bayern in their thumping win over Wolfsburg.

Unsurprisingly, the Polish striker was on the mark again on Saturday, grabbing a brace in the Bavarian’s 0-3 victory at Mainz.

And in the process, he set another record.

Lewandowski’s 51st-minute opener was his 100th Bundesliga goal in 168 appearances – reaching the century mark quicker than any other foreign player.

Twelve minutes later, he had a second which took him to 10 for the season – another reason to celebrate as it meant he became only the second player after iconic Bayern attacker Gerd Muller to hit double-figures in the top-flight after just seven games.

It’s all going horribly wrong for perennial Italian champions Juventus

It was a great night in MLS for a couple of ex-Premier League legends
