Ireland's Euro 2016 hero Robbie Brady close to £12million Leicester switch - reports

There’s also reportedly been plenty of interest in teammate Jeff Hendrick in recent days.

IRELAND EURO 2016 star Robbie Brady is close to sealing a £12million switch to reigning Premier League champions Leicester, according to reports.

The Sun reports that Brady will ignore interest from Sunderland, West Brom and former club Hull to sign for Claudio Ranieri’s side.

The 24-year-old has been expected to leave Norwich, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, on the back of some eye-catching displays with Ireland in France.

Brady scored his side’s winner against Italy in the group stages, while his penalty put Ireland ahead in their ultimately unsuccessful last-16 encounter with France, becoming the first-ever Irish player to score twice at the Euros in the process.

If his move to the Foxes is confirmed, Brady would be in line to become the first Irish player to feature in the Champions League group stages since Cillian Sheridan lined out for APOEL in the 2014-15 campaign.

Meanwhile, Brady’s international teammate, Jeff Hendrick, has been the subject of interest from several teams in recent days, after also impressing at Euro 2016.

Galatasaray, Hull, Everton, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are among the clubs being linked with the 24-year-old Derby midfielder.
