IT’S BEEN A difficult season at club level for Robbie Brady but he hopes to put Norwich’s relegation heartbreak behind him and help Ireland exceed expectations at Euro 2016.
The midfielder was unable to prevent the Canaries dropping out of the Premier League but his impressive form is encouraging ahead of this summer’s tournament.
Brady featured in all but two league games this term, scoring three times, and says he’s looking forward to joining up with Martin O’Neill’s squad ahead of an exciting month.

“It’s massive for us and it’s massive for our country to be playing in this tournament, it gives everyone a lift,” he told Sky Sports News.
“Personally, and speaking on behalf of the whole squad, we’re really excited about it and can’t wait for it.”
The Ireland squad will convene next week ahead of a friendly against Netherlands in Dublin on 27 May and a week-long training camp in Cork.
The Boys in Green will play Belarus in a final home friendly at Turner’s Cross before heading to Versailles, where they will base themselves for the tournament.

With group games against Sweden, Italy and Belgium, Brady acknowledges the size of the task the team face in France but believes people have been too quick to write off their chances.
“Some people have us written off and it will be tough, but three or four games is a long time – anything can happen,” he added.
“Every group over there is tough – teams are there for a reason – and we have excellent teams to play over there. But, like I say, with tournament football and such high stakes, anything can happen.”
