Ireland keeping Rob Kearney on 'moderated' training schedule

Jonathan Sexton and Simon Zebo, meanwhile, are showing no ill effects after they cramped up in London.

IRELAND FULLBACK ROB Kearney is on a moderated training schedule this week after suffering what Joe Schmidt called a ‘bruised knee’ to keep him out of Saturday’s defeat to England.

Kearney is one of four injury updates released by the IRFU today, which states that his limited training schedule is in place for the first half of the week.

Jonathan Sexton, who was replaced as a ‘precaution’ for the second week in succession, has shown “no ill effects and trained today” after his cramp and it’s the same case for Simon Zebo.

Conor Murray, who suffered a concussion early on in the Twickenham loss, is following the return to play protocols.
