SATURDAY WAS QUITE a day for Ritchie De Laet!
After clinching promotion from the Championship with Middlesbrough, the defender raced to the King Power Stadium to join parent club Leicester City’s Premier League trophy celebrations.
Having made 12 appearances for Claudio Ranieri’s side before heading to the Riverside Stadium on loan earlier this season, De Laet was eligible to collect a league winner’s medal.
De Laet had already been adorned with some desirable new neckwear following his exploits with Boro, who drew 1-1 with Brighton and Hove Albion to secure second place behind Burnley, and was keen to show off his impressive haul at the end of a busy day that also saw Leicester beat Everton 3-1.
De Laet made 10 appearances for Middlesbrough during his loan spell but was an unused substitute against Brighton.

That’s got Pub Quiz written all over it.
Yep and I think I am correct (???) that Andy King is the only player to win the Premiership, Championship and League One titles, all with Leicester too.
…..and I am not sure he gets medals but Mark Schwarzer won the Premiership with Chelsea last season and Leicester this season and made Zero appearances go Chelsea last season and Zero appearances for Leicester this season.
Spurs should sign him up as backup keeper now !
He doesn’t sadly, Chelsea had some Made for ineligible players last season, Leicester might do the same maybe, but I’m sure for him it’s not quite the same as getting the real thing
2nd choice keepers almost always get a medal
He went full kit aswell, Looked like an idiot.
It’s part of the rules that he had to go full kit.
Well it wasn’t when Keane and Scholes wore suits??!
That’s champions league you dope!!!!
