Today's Olympic rowing postponed due to weather conditions
There’s disappointment for Ireland’s rowers this morning with official confirmation that today’s racing has been postponed due to poor weather conditions.
Paul and Gary O’Donovan were due to take to the water at 1.50pm Irish time in the Lighweight double sculls men semi-final while Sinead Jennings and Claire Lambe were also set to contest the Women’s lightweight double sculls semi-final.
While in the Women’s single sculls C/D semi-final, Sanita Puspure was due to race at 3.40pm.

Finn Lynch is about to take to the water for Race 5 of the Men's laser
With the rowing postponed earlier, Finn Lynch is the first Irish athlete in action today.
The 20-year-old is about to take to the water for the fifth race of the Men’s laser sailing. He sits in 24th position in the overall standings.

It’s another big day for Annalise Murphy down at Guanabara Bay. Sitting in second after four races, the Dubliner goes again in the Women’s laser radial.

It’s the Limerick woman’s second event of the Games, but not her favourite. Here’s hoping she can extend her stay in the Rio pool.

Fiona Doyle second in her 200m breaststroke heat
The Limerick woman led from the front for three lengths, but was overtaken on the final turn to finish in 2:29.76 behind Argentina’s Julia Sebastian.
Barring a miracle in the upcoming heats, that will be the last we see of Doyle in the pool at these Games.

Annalise Murphy takes 5th place to remain in podium spot
Another strong display from the Dubliner as she reaches the halfway point in her event.
Murphy sits in third place overall after five races, just two points behind the leaders.
