NBA BOSSES DON’T really like when coaches criticise the match officials, and they’re not afraid to dish out hefty fines as a deterrent.

Dallas coach Rick Carlisle was hit with a bill for $25,000 on Saturday for comments he made following the Mavs’ Game 3 defeat against the Houston Rockets:
Look, referees miss calls, but there’s just a lot of physical stuff going on out there that just doesn’t look kosher to me.
That will cost you $25k, right there.
The Mavs won Game 4 on Sunday night but Carlisle was asked a similar question about the physical nature of the game.
“Are you asking me a question about the officiating?” Carlisle responded.
“I brought something just for that,” he said, producing a piece of masking tape and sticking it over his mouth for a few seconds.
“I’ve gotta be careful.”
Point proven, Rick.

How long before more managers follow Rick Carlisle's example and tape their mouth shut?
