Scotland have lost one of their most important players for the rest of the Six Nations

Richie Gray is expected to be out for “three to four months” with an arm injury.

SCOTLAND HAVE BEEN dealt a blow with the news that Richie Gray will miss the remainder of the Six Nations with an arm injury.

Gray is expected to be out for “three to four months” after scans showed that he damaged a tendon during Sunday’s narrow defeat against Wales.

The second row will return to his French club Castres for further surgical consultation but it seems highly unlikely that he will feature again this side of the summer.

Glasgow Warriors lock Tim Swinson has been called up to replace him for the remainder of the campaign as the winless Scots look to avoid the wooden spoon.

Robbie Henshaw will see out his contract with Connacht next season
