RICHARD COCKERILLโS TIME out of the job hasnโt lasted long.
Four days after he was sacked as director of rugby at Leciester Tigers, Cockerill has joined Toulon until the end of the season.
According to a press release from the three-time European champions, Cockerill is being brought to the south of France by head coach Mike Ford as a consultant.
The 46-year-old, who had been on the coaching staff at Welford Road since 2005, was let go earlier this week after defeats to Exeter Chiefs and Saracens.
Leicester also suffered a record 38-0 loss to Munster last month in the Champions Cup, although that result was avenged in the return fixture seven days later.
Toulon currently sit in fourth place in the Top 14, five points behind leaders Clermont Auvergne. Defeats to Saracens and Scarlets have left them in second place, eight points behind the English champions, in a Champions Cup pool that also includes Sale Sharks.
Great win by Aberg. Definitely squeaky bum time on the 18th when he overhit the green.
Donโt get the golf coverage here. Why update yesterdayโs article instead of writing a new one. They should actually employ a golf journalist who actually looks at the golf and give some insightful analysis and input instead of writing an article from a scorecard.
Thank god he wonโt win it this week. Back to good old Scottie scheff
@Gary Galligan: Scheffler & McIroy on same score
