This golfer brought consistency to new levels after a record breaking round

Officially the most boring round of golf in history.

THE MOST INCREDIBLE one over par round of 72 you’ll ever see.

People often talk about consistency, but in the history of the European Tour, nobody has ever been as consistent as Italian golfer Renato Paratore.

He made history today by becoming the first man ever on the tour to make a four on every single hole in his round.

Paratore’s staggeringly consistent round came at the Alstom Open in France, and while it may be a one over par round, it’s certainly something to be proud of.

And the quirky run of scoring prompted the organisers to dig back through their archives, before learning that it was indeed the very first time this had happened.

Granted, if you were watching Paratore from the galleries, you probably had a fairly dull afternoon, but at least you could say you witnessed history.

However, he won’t be around to repeat those heroics (I use that term loosely), after his seven over par round of 78 yesterday has him missing the cut.
