Who needs De Gea? Real Madrid keeper gets the better of Milan in marathon shootout

REAL MADRID HAD goalkeeper Kiko Casilla to thank for today’s International Champions Cup win over AC Milan in Shanghai.

The sides played out a 0-0 draw during a fairly uneventful 120 minutes of football, with all the drama saved for the penalty shootout.

Milan’s big money signing Carlos Bacca missed a spot-kick and Toni Kroos had his effort saved before Casilla, a recent arrival from Espanyol, kept out his opposite number — 16-year-old stopper Antonio Donnarumma – as Real Madrid claimed a 10-9 victory.

With Iker Casillas off to Porto, the La Liga giants remain in the hunt for Manchester United number one David De Gea.
